Weill Cornell Medicine in partnership with New York Presbyterian/Queens, is seeking an BC/BE Surgeon, with fellowship training in Critical Care, to join our Division of Acute, Trauma and Critical Care.

At NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, we are passionate about providing high-quality care to New York City’s most culturally diverse borough. Located in Flushing, New York, our patients do not have to leave their neighborhood to receive outstanding care from Weill Cornell Medicine Physicians. Our patients have access to a full range of services from our award-winning centers of excellence dedicated to treating cancer, cardiovascular diseases, neurologic disorders and digestive conditions. This 535-bed busy tertiary facility is an ACS level 1 trauma center, an academic affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College and serves over two million residents in the borough of Queens. Our academic programs include three graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs, including a large ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency Program, comprised of 31 residents, including 5 graduates annually.  Our team also includes a group of 25 dedicated physician assistants, many of whom have been with us for a decade or more.

Clinical duties include active participation as an attending surgeon on our Trauma Service, in our Surgical Intensive Care Unit and on our Emergency General Surgery service.  We are looking for someone who is motivated and committed to delivering the highest quality surgical care. This person should be interested in resident and advanced practitioner education, as well as outcomes research.

Queens, home to Flushing Meadows Park, is proud to host both the New York Mets baseball team and the US Open Tennis Tournament. As one of the most ethnically diverse urban areas in the world, Queens can satisfy nearly every taste. Foodies covet the Greek cuisine of Astoria and the authentic Asian food in Flushing; others admire the inventive art at Socrates Sculpture Park and the stunning flora at the Queens Botanical Garden. In the borough’s southern extremes, the surf is always up at Rockaway Beach.

The salary range for this position is $350k to $600k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.

The selected candidate will hold an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.
