Pediatric Hospitalist (Per Diem) - NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens
The Department of Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens is looking for Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalists to work on a per diem basis in Flushing,Queens. This is an outstanding opportunity for a pediatrician with an interest in joining a new and developing pediatric hospitalist program to provide clinical services to patients requiring an intermediate level of care. Highlights include:
- Provide inpatient care to children on the general pediatric floor and the new 4 bed intermediate care unit.
- Provide consultations and co-management of surgical sub-specialty patients.
- Educate pediatric residents, medical students and PA students both on rounds and in formal lectures. Opportunities are available for leadership and scholarly activities specifically in policy development and quality improvement projects of the intermediate care unit.
NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, located in Flushing, is the largest voluntary hospital in Queens and serves patients throughout the borough and beyond. This 535-bed tertiary facility is an academic affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College, and has been an integral part of the community since 1957 with active services in all medical and surgical disciplines. NYP/Queens is the major teaching site for Pediatric and OB/GYN residents of NewYork/Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. In addition NYP/Queens faculty participate in the education and training of Weill Cornell Medical College students.
