Weill Cornell Medicine in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist, with fellowship training in Epilepsy, to join our growing team in Park Slope, Brooklyn. 

NewYork-Presbyterian/ Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is a 651- bed academic institution, academically affiliated with Weil Cornell Medicine, caring for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding areas.  Our hospital boasts various neuroscience services, which includes:   the Carolyn E. Czap and Eugene A. Czap Alzheimer’s Program; the Multiple Sclerosis Center; the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center; the Center for Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders; a renowned Stroke Center, and Brooklyn’s first Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit.  Our academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.

The position is a good mix between inpatient and outpatient epilepsy. The hospital serves as a regional epilepsy referral center from all parts of Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan, and Staten Island.  The practice also includes a full time Epilepsy physician extender. Routine EEG and ambulatory EEG services round out the outpatient Epilepsy practice. The inpatient service encompasses a dedicated EMU with full time EEG technician coverage as well as continuous EEG monitoring outside of the EMU.  The hospital is academically affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan NY. As such all phase I pre-surgical epilepsy workup is performed onsite with surgical referrals to the main campus at Weill Cornell Medicine.  Potential candidates will have Weill Cornell Medical Center academic appointment.  Collaboration weekly with faculty from Weill Cornell Medical center occurs through multidisciplinary epilepsy conferences.  Opportunities exist for collaborative research.  The department employs a full-time research coordinator.

This position is ideally suited for an enthusiastic, team-oriented individual interested in working in a growing epilepsy program that offers an excellent mix of both medical and surgical epilepsy cases.

The salary range for this position is $265k to $350k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.
