Psychiatrist: inpatient, per diem, Brooklyn

The Inpatient Staff Psychiatrist will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary clinical team providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric treatments to patients. The inpatient service provides comprehensive assessments and individually tailored treatment plans for individuals with a wide range of mental illnesses from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. The psychiatrist will collaborate with unit-based nurses, social workers, pharmacists, psychologists, primary care physician’s assistants, and primary case hospitalists. The inpatient staff psychiatrist will contribute to inpatient case conferences and departmental initiatives under the supervision of the Service Chief of Psychiatry.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, located in Prospect Park, is a 651-bed academic institution, academically affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, caring for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding communities for over 135 years.  The hospital’s academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.

The position is for moonlighting shifts at $245/hour/days and $280/hour/nights.
