NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist.  Both new graduates and experienced psychiatrists are encouraged to apply.

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital will be a key part of a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health treatments to patients. The Consultation-Liaison service provides psychiatric consultation to the NYP-BMH emergency room and non-psychiatric inpatient units.  Under the supervision of the Service Chief for Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, the psychiatrist will primarily be responsible for evaluating patients, assist primary teams in the development of treatment plans, and providing ongoing care as indicated. The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist will be responsible for communicating and collaborating with emergency department, medicine, and surgical colleagues to optimize patient care. The Psychiatrist will help provide clinical leadership and close collaboration with other roles, including the Nurse Practitioner, as appropriate.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, located in Prospect Park, is a 651-bed academic institution, academically affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, caring for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding communities for over than 135 years.  The hospital’s academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.

The salary range for this position is $275k to $305k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.

The selected candidate will be eligible for academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.
