Job Description:

Responsibility as an Outreach Neurologist of the Division of Neurology. Provide teaching, administration and supervision of the Neurology clinic and the Neurology Division. Provide teaching to residents, fellows, students and other hospital staff in the theory and practice of the subspecialty. To provide supervision and teaching as the Neurology Service Attending on all service cases. Available for teaching duties as required by the Chairman of Neurosciences. To work in the outreach clinic locations for fifty percent of the time (two and a half days per week). Participate in areas of quality assurance in the Department of Neurosciences. Develop and participate in departmental and interdepartmental research activity programs, especially related to movement disorders. Available to provide consults in Neurology at the request of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital physicians. To help enhance the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Brooklyn Campus, taking part in research and other scholarly activities. Participating in regular on-call schedule with other members of the department. To assume such other responsibilities as determined by the Chairman of Neurosciences.

Job Requirements: 

Doctor of Medicine degree or foreign equivalent in related discipline.

Candidate must have:

  1. Applicant must have ECFMG certification to demonstrate competency in both written and oral English examination.
  2. Evidence of passing all three parts of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
  3. Unrestricted New York state license / authorization to practice medicine.
  4. Completion of ACGME Accredited Neurology Residency Program.
  5. ABMS Board Certification in Neurology.
  6. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  7. Must obtain and maintain hospital privileges.
Salary range:  $265,000 to $350,000 per year
