The ideal candidate would possess excellent communication skills, the highest integrity and ethics, and quantitative and analytic skills. The candidate must be an effective educator, communicator, and leader, capable of leading change and collaborating with diverse teams across the enterprise. Integrity, professionalism, resilience, conscientiousness, innovation, proactivity, and adaptability are critical, as well as a passion for improving systems and ensuring the safety of patients, healthcare personnel, and visitors. Clinically, they must be board-certified (or board-eligible) in infectious diseases with a deep understanding of infectious disease transmission.
NewYork-Presbyterian/ Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is a 651-bed academic institution, academically affiliated with Weil Cornell Medicine, caring for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding areas. We treat 42,000 inpatients as well as 500,000 outpatients annually. The hospital’s academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.

The salary range for this position is $240k to $280k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.
The selected candidate will hold an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.
