The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine, in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital seeks an exceptional, academically oriented, board-certified hematologist to lead our comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease program. This unique opportunity involves directing a multi-institutional initiative spanning WCM's Upper East Side Manhattan campus and NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital’s Park Slope campus, as well as collaborating with Columbia University Medical Center.

The successful candidate will lead and expand an innovative bi-campus Sickle Cell Disease program serving one of the nation's most diverse patient populations, overseeing comprehensive care across both the Upper East Side Manhattan and Park Slope Brooklyn locations. You will direct the Weill Cornell Medicine Sphere Sickle Cell Disease Program across both campuses, leading program development at both sites, and collaborate with pediatric hematology to establish seamless care transition protocols from pediatric to adult providers.

This role requires providing outstanding multidisciplinary care for adult Sickle Cell Disease patients while leading a comprehensive team that includes advanced practice providers, office and transition coordinators, social services, and infusion center staff. This team will have the ongoing support of NewYork-Presbyterian’s Dalio Center for Health Justice to help advance our shared clinical mission. The position offers patient access to bone marrow transplant services and cutting-edge clinical trials research. As a member of Weill Cornell Medicine's world-class Nonmalignant Blood Disorders Service, you will work with colleagues to develop evidence-based care policies for Sickle Cell Disease patients, while also caring for patients with other nonmalignant hematologic disorders.

The practice environment features state-of-the-art facilities at both locations: Weill Cornell Medicine's Upper East Side Manhattan campus and NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital’s Park Slope campus, which includes our 400,000 square foot Center for Community Health at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. The Center for Community Health's top floor is dedicated to hematology and medical oncology, featuring a 32-chair infusion center and dedicated clinical trials space. This physician leader will provide patient care at both campuses, with resources available to grow the bi-campus program to better serve the diverse Sickle Cell Disease patient population across Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Candidates must be board-certified in Hematology with demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary adult Sickle Cell Disease care, preferably with a proven track record in program leadership and development. Experience with advanced practice provider integration, clinical trials research, and academic medicine is highly valued.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $315,000 to $400,000 based on experience. This compensation range does not include our amazingbenefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures andproductivity, that may be applicable to this role.  Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and scholarly accomplishments.
