Weill Cornell Medicine in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking an academic Board-Certified Cardiologist, with specialty training and experience in the field of advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation to join our expanding Division at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

The candidate must have expertise and training in heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac transplantation as we expand our cardiac surgical services in Brooklyn. 

  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with advanced heart failure, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support and transplant evaluation.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the heart failure program in Brooklyn. 
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of approximately 30 cardiologists, including specialists in structural heart disease, electrophysiology, advanced imaging, and cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Participate in academic activities, including teaching within residency and fellowship programs.
  • Rotate through NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, maintaining exposure to cardiac transplantation and ventricular assist device therapy.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, in Park Slope, Brooklyn, an ACS-level II trauma center, with 651-beds, academically affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, cares for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding areas. Our academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs: including an Internal Medicine Residency Program and a Cardiology Fellowship Program.

The salary range for this position is $385k to $450k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.
