The Department of Pathology at Weill Cornell Medicine in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking an Assistant Medical Directorof Clinical Pathology (CP) and Transfusion Medicine (TM) for our campus in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is a 550-bed academic teaching hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn.The ideal applicant will have at least two years of experience (post-fellowship) in a Clinical Pathology service in Transfusion Medicine, laboratory operations, quality improvement, laboratory administration, as well as compliance experience with all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. The incumbent should be board certified in AP/CP or CP only, with subspecialty board certification in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine. The CP/TM assistant medical director duties will include oversight of Blood Bank, consultative services to clinicians on a rotating basis, and performance of a variety of laboratory services, e.g.: protein electrophoresis, transfusion reaction investigations, antibody identification reports, etc. Additional duties will include in harmonizing CM/TM standard operating procedures among different NYP campuses. The candidate must be qualified for a New York State Certificate of Qualification (COQ) in TM and other CP disciplines.

The salary range for this position is $260k-$380k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.

Academic rank will be commensurate with the level of experience and scholarly accomplishments.
